Policies

A massage studio is a safe space for the client, massage practitioner, and any other people in the building. There is absolutely no tolerance of inappropriate requests, sexual advances, hate speech, or threats/acts of violence. Violating this policy will result in immediate termination of the appointment and a charge for the full cost of your service. 

Massage is contraindicated during acute symptoms of illnesses like COVID, and the cold/flu. Please do not come to your appointment sick. Since long COVID or lingering cold symptoms can make it difficult to tell when you are truly over an infection, here are some guidelines to help determine if you are well enough for massage:

• Your symptoms have been improving consistently for at least 4 days.
• It has been at least 24 hours since any fever without the help of fever-reducing medication.
• Your symptoms are not so disruptive that reasonable accommodations (different positioning, extra cushioning, altered techniques, etc,) could not make massage comfortable and safe. 
• Still not sure? Contact me and we'll determine together if you are well enough for massage.

If you still come to your appointment knowing you are sick your appointment will be terminated and you may be charged a late notice cancellation fee. Please do not come to your appointment sick. Use your best judgement and stay home if needed. 

Southwest Portland gets a lot of extreme weather nowadays. Snow, ice, wind storms, and even smoke have cancelled appointments in the past. If it's dangerous to try to make it to your appointment then please stay home. Just let me know as soon as you can that you won't be making it to your appointment.  Stay home and safe!

 Payment is due at the time services are rendered. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, check, debit/credit card, and Zelle. No shows and cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment time may be subject to a fee that is 50% of the full current rate of the scheduled service. Repeated no shows/late cancellations will be charged 100% and may require paying for future services in advance.
